What if you woke up tomorrow and you were 80 years old. You look at your book of life and you realise it's thin and unfinished. You realise you didn't travel to the places you wanted to see. You never jumped in the pool with your kids or relaxed on a lilo because your thighs were too jiggly or your tummy was bigger and comfier than you'd like. Your memories of work are stronger than your memories of your family. You realise you weren't spontaneous or adventurous as you worried too much what others thought. You had thousands sat in a bank account but a list of things you'd crossed off because you didn't want to 'waste' your hard earned money. What if you were so engrossed in pleasing other people you just didn't have a creative, imaginative, adventurous, joyful life, being silly and laughing and smiling and making memories for those chapters in your book. .. If all of this happened, it would break your heart. .. Don't let this happen. Make sure you live your life as best you can so that if you woke up with years left to live, for any reason, you'd be comfortable with the way you'd lived your life. .. #life #lifestyle #lovelife #lifequotes #lifeisbeautiful #lifecoach #lifegoals #lifelessons #mikemeetslife

Stress - is it really worth it? Some think that if you're working towards a goal, you need to be stressed. Some think that if you're not stressed, you're not working hard enough. And so many of us believe that stress is a normal part of living life and working hard. Stress is unnecessary and becomes overwhelming. Thinking it is normal is destructive. We tell ourselves it's temporary. We live stressed until that 2 week holiday we've booked when we relax and in the meantime we ignore our wellbeing. Learn to reduce your stress. Learn to accept you can only do so much and no one, including yourself, can expect any more than that. By reducing stress, you can live a happier and healthier life. Sometimes, it's done by compartmentalising what you want to do and need to do. What you can do with the time you have and what will need to wait. And sometimes it's being mindful of how you respond to a situation. Does your response to a situation need to be stressful? Does it matter? Does it need an argument? Do you need to put pressure on yourself? Is your reaction healthy for you or those around you? This is where there are times "Life's too short" is poignant. And do things for you, every day. There are things that can wait until tomorrow but take time every day just to do something for you. A relaxing bath, reading, writing, just sitting in silence and enjoying the peace. It all adds up. It's all important. Reduce stress. Live happier. #stress #stressrelief #stressfree #stressmanagement #stressful #stressbuster #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthadvocate #wellbeing #mentalwellbeing #wellbeingcoach #mikemeetslife
