Stress - is it really worth it? Some think that if you're working towards a goal, you need to be stressed. Some think that if you're not stressed, you're not working hard enough. And so many of us believe that stress is a normal part of living life and working hard. Stress is unnecessary and becomes overwhelming. Thinking it is normal is destructive. We tell ourselves it's temporary. We live stressed until that 2 week holiday we've booked when we relax and in the meantime we ignore our wellbeing. Learn to reduce your stress. Learn to accept you can only do so much and no one, including yourself, can expect any more than that. By reducing stress, you can live a happier and healthier life. Sometimes, it's done by compartmentalising what you want to do and need to do. What you can do with the time you have and what will need to wait. And sometimes it's being mindful of how you respond to a situation. Does your response to a situation need to be stressful? Does it matter? Does it need an argument? Do you need to put pressure on yourself? Is your reaction healthy for you or those around you? This is where there are times "Life's too short" is poignant. And do things for you, every day. There are things that can wait until tomorrow but take time every day just to do something for you. A relaxing bath, reading, writing, just sitting in silence and enjoying the peace. It all adds up. It's all important. Reduce stress. Live happier. #stress #stressrelief #stressfree #stressmanagement #stressful #stressbuster #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthadvocate #wellbeing #mentalwellbeing #wellbeingcoach #mikemeetslife
